Generative AI Chatbots tend to be enthusiastic and overly agreeable, in part as a consequence of their training through reinforcement learning based on human feedback [sharma_towards_2025, rathje_sycophantic_2025]. As more people turn to these systems for information, brainstorming, and even companionship, it is important to ask how these conversations with LLM chatbots shape human beliefs.
