The proposed application architecture uses modules as building blocks, because they allow us to lower the overall complexity of the solution. Modules in MIM should represent business capabilities, processes, flows or “significant pieces of logic”. That’s nothing else but High Cohesion and Information Hiding in practice. Or as J. B. Rainsberger put it, by using modules you “hide details in a box”.
